2 cups raw cranberries
1 ½ cups water
1 ½ cups sugar
3-oz package of cherry Jello
½ cup crushed Dole pineapple, well-drained
½ cup chopped nuts
1 apple, peeled and finely chopped
Simmer berries and water for 10 minutes. (Be careful to avoid getting burned. The berries explode when they get hot!) Add sugar and stir well until dissolved. Remove from heat and add dry jello mix. Stir well until the jello is dissolved. Allow the mixture to cool. Add well-drained pineapple, nuts, and apple. Stir well until all ingredients are evenly distributed. Pour into your favorite dish and refrigerate. My family LOVES this side dish. It pairs well with the traditional Thanksgiving spread!
